For me, bondage is not simply about ropes, cuffs, and a body that can no longer move. It is a way of stripping away, for a while, all those things that allow you to escape what you are truly feeling. The moment I restrict your movement, your body is the first to understand that something has changed. You cannot walk away, change position, or react the way you normally would. And somewhere in that moment, something strangely liberating can emerge: you no longer have to do anything. You can simply let go.When the body stops moving, it begins to feel differently. The rope against your skin, the pressure of a cuff, a touch, the temperature, even the silence take on a different intensity. Your attention turns inward and time seems to change. For some, this state feels almost like deep meditation. For others, it becomes a struggle between the need to remain in control and the desire to surrender it.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n

And that is one of the things I find fascinating about bondage. I am not interested simply in immobilising a body. I am interested in what happens inside the mind when that body realises it no longer controls its own movement. Where resistance appears, when trust begins, and what you discover about yourself when you consciously allow someone else to take control.That is why, for me, bondage is above all an experience of trust, communication, and surrender. Eventually the ropes are untied, the cuffs are opened, and the marks on your skin slowly disappear. But what you felt while you were there, truly present within your own stillness, can stay with you for much longer.<\/p>\n\t\t\n<\/div>\n
